Guests..

Most of my weekend are really occupied as told before I always got guests to come over. Either they are Malaysians or local people.

Last week, Msian people came over. I was so pleased to have them around. Even rumahku ini x sebesar mana but still tetamu tu suka jgk dtg. Bak kata my parents " tetamu tu kan pembawa rezeki kepada tuan rumah". I guess they are right!!

They came from Muscat and reached Sur during lunch time. Masak2 laa I kat rumah.. biasalah bila org dtg kat rumah ni, I selalu discuss with my friend agih2kan keje and masakan utk hidangan para tetamu. Well, this time I cooked black pepper mutton (abiskan daging qurban yg org kasi) and my friend cooked ayam halia and telur masak sambal.

Diaorg ni dtg dgn bwk bekal lagi. They are so lovely people. They brought sotong masak sambal, chocolate muffin, kuih seri muka. Amat laa penuh dgn makanan.. Seronok sgt makan ramai2.. cam buat kenduri kendara lagi. Thanks for the bekalan yg diorg bwk. Cedappp laa sgt :))

Lepas acara menjamu selera, bwk diaorg pegi tgk penyu (again) but the place was fully booked. Alahai.. x de rezeki plak diaorg ni.. Kesian plak.. Tu petandanya diaorg kena dtg lagi. Suker sgt diaorg dtg. Then stop tempat2 yg menarik.. posing2 then malam baru balik kepenatan. Time to sleep. Memandangkan 3 families dtg, ruang utk tido x muat laa kat umah I yang x sebesar mana ni kan. One couple slept at my friend's house and two other families slept at my house. Kesian diaorg ni.. sampai kat luar2 tido. Nasib baik laa ader extra pillow, mattress, blanket etc.

The next morning, masak2 lagi. Our breakfast menu: macaroni goreng, nasi goreng, samosa, shawarma. After done with bfast bwk diaorg jalan2 kat pantai sesambil mengutip seashells. Then they left Sur at nearly 11 am.

Honestly, I feel bless every time I got guess. I feel satisfied when my guests happy and they wanted to come again to my house. You are most welcome people.. My arms wide open to have you here. Thats the time I can cook more, bake more!! Hehhehe

Qurban Meat..

Kan Raya kat sini hari Selasa.. so hari selasa laa menyambut raya. Hari tu jer, kalut duk masak sbb nak kasi makanan kat orang and around 11 am ader invitation jiran sebelah. Orang Msia, my colleague jgk, wife dia masak nasi impit and kuah kacang. Mmm.. yummy, at least ada laa suasana di hari raya kan?

Then my students I called nak kasi daging Qurban.. haaa.. ambik kau!!! Sebelah peha kambing dia bagi. Ya Allah.. amat laa terkejut I okey. Tak penah ku makan atau dapat peha kambing before this tau!! Kat sini Qurban kambing or unta. Most of the people slaughtered goat and to those are rich, they will slaughter UNTA. Hehhhehhe.. No daging tu, I divided into 3 laa bahagikan sama rata dgn my other friends. Susah tu nak potong.. kerasss sangat tulang tu, nasib laa my friend ader pisau yang BAPAK nyerr besouuu okey!!

Yang peliknya, kalau kat Msia, I never eat mutton.. x suka. Kalau makan sure migrain terus. Then kambing kat Msia bau2.. tul tak? Tapi kan.. daging kambing kat sini x bau ... macam daging lembu. Serious.. so makan laa i daging kambing kat sini dgn berimaginekan daging lembu laa slalu. Daging kambing lagi bagus dr daging lembu okey.. (Tul kan???)

Even kat restaurant2 kat sini pun susah sebenarnya nak carik daging lembu tapi kalau mutton.. merata2 ader. Datang laa sini kalau tak percaya!!

Then in the afternoon, I went to my dad's friends house. He is Omani and he invited my friends and me to have traditional lunch with his family. The journey to his mum's house was nearly 2 hours but I considered worth it coz we ate very delicious food there. Tahu tak, hidangan hari raya diaorang adalah Nasi "Qubuli" and daging Qurban. Nasi tu macam nasi minyak tp x berminyak.. sedap sangat!! Kalau makan nasi jerr pun dah cetap okey. Then dgn daging rebus jer!! I repeat.. only daging rebus!! Daging tu rebus dgn halia, bawang putih and garam jer. Siap tanya resipi dgn tuan rumah lagi. Tapi sedap laa sangat. Pelik kan?? Then dgn salad ( raw veggies) . Thats all!!

Since I was here I started to love this food especially Omani Qubuli ni. Nanti nak blajar laa resipi nak buat nasi ni. Then jemput you all makan2 kan? Hehheheh... Tapi x brani laa nak makan nasi ni banyak2 nanti my weight scale berputar x nak stop kang. Scary laa weh!!

Imagine laa kita buat 3 menu ni jerr utk majlis2 cam ni ( nasi, daging rebus and salad) jerr. Guna resipi diaorg ni.. sure our guests akan ckp kita kedekut kan. Why not I buat ini menu utk my wedding?? Hahhaha... sure akak2.. pakcik2.. makcik2 balik ckp I kedekut kan? But then kalau fikir balik.. its good you know.. x de laa membazir and memang menu sihat. Yang paling I suka, nasi - guna beras basmati and kurang minyak ( i like it ). Pasal wedding menu tu actually, my colleague yang bg suggestion suruh I buat cam tu. Amboi korang bg suggestion baik punya... nanti korang jgk yg dtg majlis I then kutuk2.. Tak suka.

Tak pe laa.. nanti bila tiba masanya you all tahu laa apa menunya. X yah nak pikir2 lagi.. Ntah bila majlisnya pun x tahu... ( elloooo.. ni dah terkluar topic ni... )

At nite again, my friend called nak kasi daging lagi. Dia kasi tulang2 tu.. again divided into 3. Adil kan?? The late at nite.. ader lagi students bagi seketul besar daging BBQ. Ya Allah.. rezeki tul hari ni..x putus2 dapat daging kambing. Alhamdulillah...

A day after, ader tetamu dtg kat umah satu family.. nasib laa kan. I masak sup tulang yg dapat tu, if not x tahu laa bila I nak abiskan tulang2 tu. Thank God!! Abis jgk half of the meat yg kat dlm fridge tu. Best tau.. yg bahagian2 tulang tu dibuat sup. Sup kambing you, kat Msia sure mahal tu kat mamak2 kan.

CooKiNG TiMe...

I invited my friend's family for lunch today. I cooked butter chicken and mix vege. Its quite sometimes I didnt post any food or recipes in this blog. Well, not because I didnt cook but no time to make special dishes like today. (special kerr?.. sila laa masuk bakul angkat sdiri laa yerr)..

As some of people out there know, I love cooking and baking. Jadi ker.. tak jadi kee x kisah laa kan. Janji bleh dimakan. Back home in Malaysia, every time I have time I will cook.. either will help my mum cooking or will cook for the people. Usually, I only have time in the weekend as my work was so hectic ( day and nite will be lecturing) and my uncle will call me or sms me what he wanted to eat and asked me to prepare before his family come to our house.

For me.. cooking and lecturing is quiet similar.. Im talking about the satisfaction when you are done with it. Cooking... try to come out with the new recipe, campak bahan2 and taraaaa.... if the people enjoyed.. you will be the most satisfied person even tiring and exhausted. Same thing with lecturing, when the students understand what you teach.. you will be the most happy person at that moment.

Still remember last time, I like to make pizza.. One of the reason coz my dad and my mum love my pizza. In one day I can make more than 10 pizza and we frozen that. When we have guests then we served that.. easy right? After dah muak2 makan pizza.. buat kek plak.. suka sgt. and again my dad loves my butter cake. During last summer when Im back to Msia ... sempat gak 4..5 round buat kek butter + kek oreo. My mum and dad like butter cake but my sisters love oreo cake.

If in Ramadhan, I love to make kueh mueh.. but still x expert like my mum. Kueh2 traditional like seri muka, onde2.. suka buat jerr.. make 2..3 potong jer. Amat laa tidak berbaloi. Memandangkan beli kueh mueh kat pasar ramadhan slalu nya x sedap that why laa kat umah i slalu buat sdiri. Lagipun "king" kat umah memang suka "queen" yang masak2. Seboleh bolehnya nak elakkan makan kat luar.

This is the butter chicken for today... Usually ppl do butter prawn but I modified to butter chicken. Ada sapa kisah?? x de kan.. Haaa.. tu laa.. I yang masak so terpulang laa pada I kan nak campak apa dlm kuali I okey. Hhehehe...

Come closer.. wanna give recipe especially to my lil bro. I complained this recipe is hard. Try again lil bro.. its easy. This time try to do like me " campak- campak jerr "

Ingredients: ( I never measure.. try to estimate okey people.. If I measure for sure will turn out diff. taste) ..

Ingredient A:

• 2 t/spn of butter
• 3-5 cloves Garlic ( chopped)
• 3 t/spn of fresh milk
• Yolk ( 1 egg)

Keep stirring these till it turns yellowish.

Ingredient B:

All of these need to fry separately

• chicken ( diced) - salt, black pepper & tumeric : mix together
  
• Potato (diced)
  
• green chillies
  
• Onion

Dinner Gathering..

Yesterday, I was invited by my HOD for dinner at his place. Not only me but all of communication staff. Bukan ramai bebenor pun.. just 9 of us in one department ( 1 Omani, 4 Indians fr India, 3 Malaysians, 1 Egyptian). My HOD buat dinner ni pun sbb dah janji since last semester lagi nak "throw a party" laa kononnya sbb naik umah baru.

Ni nak ngumpat ni.. kena cakap melayu okey, nanti orang lain paham lak, x pasal2 nahas nanti ( so x baik kan). Mula2 nya dia invite pegi hotel kan, kononnya senang order jer apa yg kita nak makan lagipun dia x pandai nak masak ( according to him okey.. bukan I yg cakap) then alih2 one day before tukar plan cakap dia nak masak. Betul ker ni dia nak masak? Ragu2 laaa plak dgn orang tu ni. Cakap slalu berbelit2.. biasa laa laaa orang2 K***** ni kan?? Cam x paham plak..

So dia jemput dinner at 7 and t 6++ dpt sms fr my friend ckp dia tukar time plak to 8pm. Reasonnya?? Coz dia x sempat nak masak ayam.. Hahhahah... Tergelak I dibuatnya, biar betul ni wey..

So pegi laa kat umah dia at 8pm and start makan at 8. 40pm sesambil tunggu yang lain datang. Masa masuk dlm umah dia.. x de nampak makanan pun.. Pelik tul, rupa2nya dia buat kat atas roof top. Caya laaa ... Best tau.. buat dinner kat roof top. Last nite angin plak kencang... abis semua pinggan mangkuk cawan kertas berlari larian berterbangan.. Duk atas tu nampak laut kat belakang rumah. FYI, rumah dia satu deret dgn my house.. 10 minutes laa jalan kaki from my house.

Tikar dan dihamparkan kat atas lantai roof top tu.. dgn 2 periuk. PERIUK okey!!! Hehheheh.... Taraaaaaaa..... nasi dan ayam ala masala ( x tahu laa nama ayam dia tu.. tanya tukang masak pun dia x tahu nama apa). Makan jerr laa.. taste not so bad, bleh tahan laa. Then, one container ikan (tu pun another colleague yg satu building yang masak) and roti Kobus ( roti ni macam roti pita but nipis). Tu jerr?? Hahahha... jahatkan?? Yelah.. bunyinya beriya bebonar nak masak.. tup2.. tu jer.. But taste good laa.. I ate roti with fish and chicken. Meh laa nak tunjuk gamba2 yg sempat disnap. Selambe land jerr laa I snap kan.. tu pun diaorg buat x tahu jer.. Ni guna camera digital bukan SLR okey.. so nampak gambarnya amat laa x brapa elok. Harap maklum yer tuan2 dan puan2 sekalian...

Periuk nasik.. dashyat diaorg ni.. served dgn periuk2.. aaa ambik korang!!

Roti Kobus.. Ni kiranya cam roti sandwich laa kalau kat Msia.. I dont think you can find this bread in Msia right?

Ikan yg my colleague aka jiran my HOD yang bawak. According to him, he didnt know the name of the fish but he just know the fishs that have big head and small body. Hahahhaha...

aaa... ni nak kenalkan from left Mr K ( yg masak ikan tu) yg jugak jiran my HOD, baru biru tu new staff x sampai one week lagi keje and she is the youngest ( 22 thn) siut muda kan.. dah ader masters tu.. pelik ..pelik.. and yang duduk baju putih tu adalah business lecturer aka tukang masak of the day...Hahahha.. rahsia terbongkar akhirnya.. lawak .. lawak

Yang duduk tu pakai baju merah adalah my HOd ( Dr.K. ).. dia laa host last nite.

Aaaa.. ni nak tunjuk TV dish plak. TV dish ni cam Astro laa jugak tapi kat sini kalau beli tv, dish ni wajib dibeli, if not x nampak apa2 laa. Ada banyak choices tau dish ni.. besar, kecik and sederhana.. and biasanya dish ni ada kat roof top laa.. Channel kat sini banyak tau, kalah Astro okey.. banyaknya channel fr GGC laa.. semuanya arab nyer channel. I beli yg kecik jerr.. cukup laa utk sorang tgk kan.. tu pun x de masa nak tgk tv. So far my fav channel are:

• MBC 2 ( non stop movies)
• MBC 4 ( byk talk show, series movies) like Oprah, Dr Phil, Desperate Housewife, Grey Anatomy
• Al-Jazeera
• BBC
• CNN
• MTV Arabia

Jom..jom nak tunjuk dish ni...

Tengok tu yang besar tu.. tu Mr K punya okey.. amboi2.. ni rasanya semua programme ader ni..nak nyerr beribu2 channel. Nak tahu tak, kat sini ader channel yg so called "XXX" tau.. sure u all x caya kan?? Serious.. but not my dish okey.. dish yg besar2 la slalu ader. According to my friend, channel2 tu mengalahkan kat western countries tau. Dasyhat laa diaorg ni kan.. Imagine laa kat sini plak ader benda2 cam tu.. Ish teruk tul kan??

2nd SeMester.. Hectic

This semester is so hectic compare to previous semester. Really.. less sleeping, less resting, less watching tv but more reading, more preparation, more headache, exhausted!!!

Well, my Eid was great even only 10 days I was in Malaysia. Alhamdulillah, I got chance to eat most of the food in minds while I was here during Ramadhan. Guess what food... ( nasi kerabu, nasi kukus, bubur lambuk, kueh muih yg hanya dibulan Ramadhan jer ader, all types of biscuits during Raya, etc - bear in mind all of these food cause me gaining some weight!!! Ohhhh tidakkk....

Like what my mum said.. " x pe, bukannya slalu, nanti dah balik sana dah x jumpa semua makanan ni" hahahhaha... which was true right??

Well, masa balik sini nasib baik laa x excess luggage. I was so worried .. siap guna penimbang tu before went to the airport. Luckly it was not excess even it was nearly excess. Ngam2 jerr.. yelah, bawak balik biskut raya laa, keropok laa, baju raya laa etc... biskut raya berat apa ( butter kan, sure laaa berat)

I arrived Muscat early in the morning at the airport as early as at 3.30am and ambik bag semua skali dah nearly 4 ++ and took my car at airport and drive back to Sur. Ohhh memang laa kepenatan even I x drive.. Pening sangat2 and I arrived in Sur nearly 7am. Kalut laa yg teramat coz on that day jgk kena pegi class.

Well, at 7.30am took shower and nearly 8 arrived at the college. I thought my students were not showing up but they are. Mak Oiiii... bagus plak kanak2 unta ni. Full class on that day and me.. x prepare apa2 lectures pun. Bleh?? Yelah, balik Malaysia beraya sakan. Sakan ker? Not really, but it was great anyway spending time with family and relatives around.

Apa lagi, Miss Nur buat quiz jerr laa.. group work. Al maklum laa x prepare kan? Then right now mula laa kalut terkejar2 nak abiskan chapters. Really exhausted.

After a week been here after Eid, terus sambung pose 6 + pose ganti coz still in Syawal month. Most of my students here pun pose 6.. bagus kan kanak2 unta ini. Hhehehhe...

Well, on the first week balik sini dah ada guests on the weekend. Belum lagi ganti tido and rest terus ada guests. X pe, as I always tell myself, tetamu tu kan bawak rezeki.

My guests are from Nizwa ( 2 1/2 hours journey from Sur). On Wednesday and Thursday, Prof. S dtg dgn family and we had a good supper with 'ketam rebus". Berpicnic kat tepi pantai makan ketam rebus.. Prof. S bought 3 kilos of crab and I did cook all of them. Memang laa rebus jer.. but then still I consider hard work. Yelah, nak kena potong ketam tu satu persatu... byk 3 kilo wey and then rebus dlm kuali kecik tu ( 8..9 round). Puhh... tapi amat laa berbaloi sbb diaorg suka sgt makan ketam tu. I not only rebus cam tu jer..letak laa jgk rempah ratus bawang semua.. at least ada jgk rasanya kan??

On friday plak, my coordinator of comm. prog dr Muscat nak dtg beraya plak. Early in the morning dah dpt call ckp diaorg nak dtg. Kalut lagi skali masak nasi goreng utk diorg for breakfast. Even kepenatan yg teramat sangat but still I did enjoy having guests around!!

Ras Al Jinz

Percubaan utk tgk turtle dah masuk 3 kali dah ni... akhirnya last two nite ago I dapat laa tgk turtle.

Tu pun duk janji2 dgn my student nak pegi akhirnya sempat laa jgk pegi. 2 kete delegasi bertolak dari Sur ke Ras Al Jinz utk melihat turtle sesambil nak buat bbq kat sana.

Janji pegi sana at 4.30 and duk menunggu studentku itu sampai laa kul 5 x jgk kunjung tiba.Rupanya dia lewat sbb duk prepare barang2 nak berbbq. Yang lecturers ni pun satu hal semua benda harapanya dia. He prepared sotong, daging and ikan and all the equipments needed for bbq. Kesian laa plak budak ni..

Yang paling bestnya sbb pegi dgn one msian family from Sohar dgn anak2 dia yg comel domel itu. Lagi ramai lagi laa meriah suasana kan??

Ingat tak dulu my previous post, kitaorg pegi Ras Al Hut tapi x jumpa pun turtle ..yang kitaorg jumpa hanya laa bayang2 nyerr. Second time pegi mlm dgn this msian family gak tapi lewat sgt..penyu dah balik ke laut utk tido. So this time kononnya well planned laa...pegi awal2 skit supaya x terlepas kan..

Sampai sana dlm kul 6 lebih and terus solat maghrib and after that kanak2 unta ni pun ready2 prepare utk berbbq. Cucuk2 daging, sotong and ikan kan stick.. yang lawak nyaa..pompuan2 melayu terakhir ader 3 orang tau including me ( akak seperjalanan ku & akak fr Sohar) tapi kan semuanya x brapa mahir utk menyucuk nyucuk kan benda alah itu. Hahahhahah... Buat malu sahaja kan.. so proses cucuk menyucuk tu bertukar tangan dgn my student and kawan dia.

Diaorg ni suka buat keje satu persatu tau.. lepas cucuk mencucuk then baru nak nyalakan bara utk bbq. Kalau kita kat Msia sure buat benda2 ni sesambil kan. And another good thing is diaorgn ni akan bakar dulu semua benda and bila semua benda siap dibbq baru laa semuanya makan sesama. Kalau kita tuan2 dan puan2 sekalian cam mana errrr? Tentu laa sesambil bakar sesambil makan kan? kan? kan? Amat laa x sesuai skali kan! pas tu yang tukang bakar tu x sempat laa nak makan kan..

Masa makan tu dah nak kul 9.30 pm and masa tu gak laa time utk diaorg tunjuk penyu2. Actually, kat sini tiap2 malam ader pengunjung dtg tgk penyu. Laku tu..cam goreng pisang panas. Masuk jerr dah kena bayar RO1 for adult and 100 biase for children. Okey laa kan.

Kalut sungguh, time duk mkn tu diaorg dah start dah buat explaination pasal penyu2. Rules and Regulations.. and one of the rules is bleh pakai camera tapi x leh pakai flash. Faham? Faham cikgu...

One Omani guy called Renjer yang explained kat semua pasal2 turtle ni in dwi bahasa. Mula2 bahasa Arab diaorg and then bahasa orang putis. Ni nak mengumpat pasal Renjer ni skit... gilerr tusss.. Renjer ni ckp slang abis.. kalah orang blajar kat oversea.. "the turtleeeee...lays eggs here" Intonasi, nahu, tatabahasa.. amat ku terpegun skali!! Hahahha..

Tahu tak, satu insiden yang I x suka berlaku okey!! My friend tu kan baru beli camera and x sempat lagi laa nak explore2 cara2 nak guna kan. So bila dia duk tangkap2 gamba penyu tu x nampak laa plak so dgn gatalnya I ambik laa camera tu nak try2. Skali terkluar laa flash.. ambik kau!!! Terus renjer tu dtg and rampas camera kwnku itu.. amat laa jahat skali okey!! I x sengaja laa .. bengong tul!! Bengang jerr akak itu setelah cameranya dirampas sbb I. Dashyat kan.. mmg laa I tahu x leh guna flash but then I nak try jerr laa.. terflash laa plak?? Salah i kerr? X sukerrrrrrr tau..Tapi at the end of the sessi melihat penyu2 tu dia kasi laa balik.

Banyak siut penyu2 kat situ...besar2 plak tu. Terasa jakun diriku ini.Amat laa jakun skali. Masa kiraorg pegi tu ader 2 groups ( 1 group Italiano and 1 group Malaysiano). Dia explain satu2 laa...jalan pun nak kena buat satu line..ntah apa2 laa renjer tu. Ikut jer laa labu..dah tempat dia..dia kan boss.. amat laa kerek skali renjer itu tuan2 dan puan2 skalian.

Dapat laa tengok penyu yg mengeluarkan telur, penyu dah selesai mengeluarkan telur, anak2 penyu pulang ke laut dan penyu baru nak naik ke darat. Banyak wehh.. pusat penyu laa kat situ..serious!! Bulan plak terang dipagar bintang... x perlu lampu suluh.. yg guna pun hanya laa renjer sahaja.

Semuanya selesai lebih kurang kul 11 and balik semula kat tempat bbq and simpan2 and kemas2 segala peralatan utk balik ke rumah. Sampai kat umah dlm kul 1 jgk laa and after proses kemas mengemas and cuci mencuci peralatan terus kulena dibuai mimpi ( x mimpi pun). Jaga2 the next morning idung ku yg kurang mancung ni tersumbat and badan ku lesu x bermaya. Tu laa... jalan lagi memalam buta.. berembun okey!! Tu yang jadi cam ni kan... Rasanya nak berjalan lagi di malam2 buta.

Communication Talk

Before I left the office yesterday, got called fr my HOD and he told me that tmrw at 9.00am, we are going to have Communication Talk and all the students need to attend at the hall. Im done with my class at 8.30 am and brought them to the hall. Tunggu nyerr tunggu...sampai kul 9 lum lagi penuh dewan tu.. Then all the sudden, muncul lah Assistance Dean dgn kaum kerabat dia kat atas pentas. Tahu tak diaorg duk wat pe? Tgh betul-betul kan meja..susuh kan kerusi for the guest speaker. Assistance Dean did that? Can you imagine that? Siut jerr kan.. so what more I can do..go and help him? Hello...im a lady okey.. Im not supposed to go up to the stage and help him. Kat sini lain skit..bukannya kat Msia ni.

My friend and I looked at him differently.. yelah pelik bin ajaib laa kan.Assistance Dean buat semua tu!! Bayangkan laa.. My HOD and the guest speaker and seorang lagi Dr. lum lagi sampai kat dewan.. dah 9.15 ni.. bleh cam tu? Seriously they never appreciate of time!!! So fed up .. nearly 9.20am they came and sat at the front row and me and my friend joined them. My HOD, Ya Allah..so laa x proper, pakai topi tu dgn sunglass kat atas topi.. bengong tul dia ni. Ni kan majlis cam formal jugak laa kan..pakai cam tu jerr??? Sabor jerr laa

The people who were giving talk

There are 3 people on the stage ( my HOD, DR - fr our dept and guess speaker fr Oman Tribune Newspaper). The speaker was so-so.. kononnya so laa good coz journalist kan but it turn our very bored. Baca jerr memanjang kat kertas.. apa kerr jadah??? duduk jerr kat krusi ..x gerak2.. bleh??

My HOD plak.. giler kuasa, students duk tanya soalan kat guest speaker...dia plak yg jawab..sian tgk guest speaker tu..tenganga jerr dia duk situ. Dah laa x menjawab soalan.

Ambik gamba pun side blkg, maklum laa segan silu nak duk depan2.. baik punyerrr shoot!!

Ni yg lawaknya lagi. Ada laa sorang pekerja tukang sapu kat situ. The assistance dean asked him to buy drink for all the speakers on the stage and he brought a plastic bag with the 3 bottles of the drinks. 1 bottle he gave it to the Assistance dean and dgn selamba land nyerr dia naik kat atas pentas tu bwk beg plastic berisi botol air. Then masa org duk rancak2 ckp bg taklimat..dia pun kasi laa kat speakers tu air.. alamak 2 botol jerr? Terkial2 dia..patutnya 3 botol sbb speaker ader 3 org..dia muka yg ke maluannya..dia pun jalan nak turun stage.. separuh jalan.. handphone plak bunyi (bleh? siut jerr kan??) and tengah2 atas pentas tu..dia pun duk jawab call tu.. ( Ya Allah..suka ati mak bapak tuk nenek dia jerr nak jwb call). Imagine laaa... x leh nak tahan gelak.. laughing to the floor laaa I dgn my friend.

Cam x reti bahasa kan diaorg ni.. suker2 dia jerr kan?? Cuba laa all of this happened back at my previous office. For sure dah kena baling kasut dah dgn bos. hahahahah...

Most of the students in the hall are my students.. students ni pun satu.. at first I was sitting with all the ladies and terpaksa laa beralih kat depan coz guest speaker dtg kan.. and apa lagi...Kanak2 unta yg guys ni pun tepuk laa tangan... Ms Nur..Ms Nur ( siap panggil nama tu.. amat laa malu skali).. glamor skit pun ader..cuba laa jgn panggil nama...lengsing kang... siut jerr kan...


Overall, the talk was okey-okey.. At least students got some info abt their career in communication.

Kenduri Kendara

Since Im here, suker sgt buat kenduri kendara...

When my parents were here, I guess we had 3 times of kenduri kendara. Kenduri kendara here means menjemput kenalan dtg ke rumah buat makan2. Maklum laa masa kat Msia mana laa ada masa nak buat cam ni, lagipun umah kat KL kan sekangkang kera. Kalau nak ikutkan, umah kat sini lagi laa not even sekangkang kera...setengah kangkang kot..well, tu laa

Tonite made dinner for my head of department (HOD) and another colleague and they are both India mali...hehhe... My friend and I had intention to invited them at beginning of the semester but coz of very bz and diorg ni slalu buat hal, we keep postponed it till today. Diaorg buat hal ni macam2 laa... so many things that make us sick!! Biasalah..kalau dah dinamakan K***ng, sama jerrr... like my big bro said..like a snake, pukul kat ekor still lagi gerak2 and bak kata my friend bila diorg jual komputer mcm laa komputer tu bleh terbang ( dgn kata2 manisnya laa kan). So x baik kan? But it is true rite? Face the fact rite??? Agree tak? If x agree...stop reading next...hahahah

Well, the preparation for the dinner started on Thursday. Thursday, went to buy things that need to cook and we decided what to cook. Our guests remind us to prepare vegetarian food coz his wife is vegetarian. Tak penah2 masak pure vegetarian seumur idupku tau... ni adalah cabaran memasak yg pertama... susah wey nak pikir semua lauk pauk nak buat vege.. Mmm, at last dpt gak idea...

I cooked Chinese Fried Rice and Fried Macaroni ( Vegies okey)..lain mcm jerr rupanya walaupun dah masukkan vege yg berwarna warni..bagi nampak menarik skit laa. Ada lagi, for the desert I prepared banana ball ( cekodok) baik punyer nama in english and karipap. My friend cooked brinjal curry, fried potato and fried mix vege. So laa jahat, main dishes bagi I and she took the small portions. X pe..I kan suka masak...hahahhha even at the end mengeluh kepenatan. Biasa laa kan!!

Well, the supposed to come at 7.30pm and been waiting till 8.10pm the reached our house. Janji Diana biasa laa kan..samer jerr dgn janji K***ng. One family came and another one still on the way.. tunggu laa plak mamak sorang lagi dtg. Dtg kul 8.45 coz he played tennis. Siut jerr kan???I sms him twice with no reply.Tunggu laaa the other guests..bengong tul!!

Then mkn2 laa..borak2..enjoy2..gelak2... my HOD brought his wife and two kids. After done with dinner, my friend made coffee and tahu tak coffee tu tumpah diatas carpet merahku yg cantik tu coz of their small kid.. Waduhhhh... jatuh jantungku.. one jug of coffee spill all over the red carpet and my mat. What I can said, budak2 kan.. kena laa paham.. jgn geramnya ibubapa nyerr buat x tahu jerr..not even said sorry... sian I ..u..

Then yg lagi geram I kat K***ng tu, diorg x caya yg I msk semua tu..instead dia ckp my friend yg msk which was I dont mind at all pun kang. My friend is older the me..double of my age and they looked me like a small child. Damn it!! Hallllu... dont under estimate this short lady okey!! Even my parents are not around, I am still survived with my life. Jahat tul laa diorg..mentang2 laa ketinggian ku x mencukupi and I am the youngest among all the lecturers, ingatkan i ni anak manja... Hallu...test be Mr Man!!! ( geram laa tu..x abis2 dgn geram kan?) Suka ati laaa Labu...malas nak cakap apa..janji my intention is good to sincere served them.

No, biasa laa after the dinner, proses kemas mengemas laa plak. Mmmm.. biasa laa akak jugak yg kena buat semua tu memandangkan semua ni kan kat umah akak. Akak sorang lagi x brapa suker buat benda2 ni...terpaksa laa akak ni yg kena buat. Duk mengemas2, student akak sorang tu called nak kasi ikan coz students tu balik kg and janji nak kasi ikan kat kitaorg. So laa baik student ni kan..jgn ader niat lagi dah lerr . Bukannya apa kan..niat nak suruh kasi dia A+..hehehhe

x abis2 rupanya kerja surirumah ni kan?

So while akak ni duk mengelap2 pinggan mangkuk, akak sorang lagi pegi ambik Ikan dgn student kat tepi umah. Rupa-rupanya, we all ni berjiran laa plak dgn student...hehhe x tahu pun.
Ya Rabbi.. giler byk student ni kasi ikan. Yang lawaknya, student ni siap ckp ni..."please Miss dont tell anyone okey I give you" and my friend pun kasi gak mknan yg lebih tadi coz byk sgt lebihkan and my friend pun ckp the same thing " dont tell other students that I gave you". Amat laa lawak skali kan?? Mmg cam tu.. in the class also, some of the students ( guys especially) siap beli air kotak laa, air mineral laa..so laa baik kan?? and at the same time, they will asked u not to tell everybody. Takutlaa tu kita ader skandal2 kan?? Hehhhe.. kalau minat cuba laa berterus terang kan?? Hehhehe...

One big fish that already cleaned

Then duk membasuh ikan laa plak after membasuh pinggan mangkuk... Bila nak abis keje ni. Study lum lagi ni for the lectures tmrw. Apa kerr jadah laa lecturer sorang ni..allu dua org okey!! Now, so laa malas nak study and so laa x de mood okey. Tu yg menaip blog ni.. hahha.. blog ader mood plak kang??? Tu laa pasal...Apa kerr jadah semua ni..adakah ini semua sejadah??

Okey..okey, jap lagi nak g study laa ni. Ni dah kul 11.49. Alrite..will continue tmrw. Ingat nak kasi ingat kat org..coz byk sgt..risau ni x tahu nak buat apa dgn ikan2 semua tu. Our student said that fishs can last for a week I dont think so..for me I guess can last for a year. I dont know what kind of fish but for sure it is a big fish. Was thinking to give to Ms Clorox...mmm but then after yesterday things, I dont think she needs the fish. Nanti x pasal2 akak kena baling dgn kepala ikan kan?

Hectic Weekend

Most of my weekend lately are so hectic including this week.

I received Msian visitors from Nizwa ( 3 1/2 hours journey to Sur) and I was very excited. Initially, they were planning to come last 2 weeks ago and postponed till this week.

They brought their new cars and it looked so great ( New Honda CRV & KIa Sportage 4W) with 2 families

• Prof. with his wife, teenager daughter and a toddler granddaughter
• Lady lecturer with her husband and teenager son

It was so great to see them and as a host I was bz prepared the food as they arrived at lunch time. I cooked fish curry, butter chicken and sambal without belacan. I started cooking very early on that day as early as 8 am. This was because I need to clean a whole house and at the same time I need to prepared the main dishes!! I dont mind at all doing these .. as long as my guests satisfied and feel they are welcome. Thats what I concerned most!!

They arrived at noon and thanks God Im done with the food served on the table. They pretty enjoyed the food till 2..3 kali tambah nasi. Maklum laa jauh perjalanan and perut pun kelaparan.

Well, at nite was planning to prepare the Arabian salad and roti lebanon and Hummus ( sos kacang). At the evening, my friend brought them to fish souq and ronda2 while Im at home preparing for the dinner. Suprisingly, our guests came back with a box of fish for the bbq tonite!! What? BBQ??

I was thinking to do bbq at first but memandangkan peralatan utk bebbq x de.. cancel. What a surprised, my friend got some stuff for the bbq.. Well...so good!! Berbbq laa mlm tu .. Guess where?? Gilerr jauh...hanya dibelakang rumah sahaja...yeah, at the beach back of my house.

Buah limau tu sengaja jerr letak kat sebelah...menunjukkan betapa besarnya ikan yg dibbq walaupun rupanya amat hangus skali...hahahha..sedapppp

The nite was superb with the wind blow. We put the mat and sat and enjoyed the big fish and crabs, salad with a hot kick nescafe!! Serious...so laa best!! Murah seafood kat sini.. tgklah kesemua ketam2 didalam besen tu hanya RO1 and ikan2 tu pun yg besar seekor RO1.. Murah kah? Mana nak dpt kat kalau kat tempat lain harga cam tu. Yeah, Sur kan fish village.

Dah lama x bersantai2 cam tu..borak2.. mengumpat2 pasal kerenah2 students... talking, laughing... Yeah, I did enjoy even feel very exhausted!!

End of bbq at nearly 12 pm. Yang lawaknya...dulu masa mula2 dtg sini duk mengata org kat sini. Puak2 diorg ni suka sgt duk kat tepi2 pantai..hampar tikar and main terup, minum kopi, borak2 and gelak2 sampai ke malam buta.

And yesterday nite, we Msian did that...hahahha...Tulah mengata org..skrg kita yg lebih. Org kat sini pun heran..buat apa laa org2 asing ni ...dah laa x berjubah...hehhehe

So kemas punye kemas umah after bbq, kul 2.30 am baru bleh lena.. Really I cant sleep of Im not settle with my housework!! Will be a nite mare for me!!

So this morning, I woke up so early coz of the guess ada kat umah. Tak malu kerr tuan rumah bgn lewat? Pompuan jenis apa ni bgn lewat2 ni!! So utk tidak mengecewakan mana2 pihak, I woke up at 5.3o am and after prayer I was ready to prepare for their bfast.

My guests when out at 6am to see the sunrise near my house. 15 min walking but the drove there...maklumlah ader kete... Like me and my friend, berjln kaki jerr pegi tgk sunrise, x de kete

While they were enjoying watching the sunrise, I prepared bfast. Ikan yg bbq last nite byk siut yg x abis..yelah seekor pun dah sama besar dgn badan manusia, mana nak abis makan ikan byk2. Kalau bagi kucing pun sure kucing tu mati sbb overdose dgn ikan..

So my menu for the bfast were fried fish rice, sardine rolls, sausage pies and hot nescafe while friend cooked cucuk bilis. Serious kalut di pagi buta.. x penah dibuat org...hehehhhe

Lagi kalut bila kat umah ader kuali kecik... Nak goreng nasi goreng satu rice cooker yg besar tu. Can u imagine that? 5 round tu goreng nasi..then put them together to mix it well. Ntah laa sedak kee idak.. Yang nampak nyerr abis gak satu periuk besar!! Hehhehe... x penah ku buat keje cam ni.. tapi nak buat cam mana kan? Umah bujang, kuali pun ceput jerr..

Look at the rice cooker? Amat laa besar skali..cam nak kenduri kendara... tu yg 5 kali tu goreng nasi.. kan byk tu nasik..

We ate our bfast a bit late..kira cam branch laa.. So bila makan borak2...gelak2 lagi.. sampai laa makanan abis dimkn.. I was so satisfied with them. Hope they are comfortable with the one nite stay at my house. Even kat umah ni katil pun x de utk tetamu, tapi ada king mattress tau!!

They went back at nearly 11 am and later on I cleaned the house. Simpan and mengemas apa yg patut till noon.. Ohh amatlah kepenatan!! Kul 2.3o tido till 3.00 ( tu pun ader manusia kacau call) so laa tak suka..org baru jerr nak rest setelah 2 hari x cukup tido and rest!! Aalah mengada tul..bukannya slalu kan org datang kan? Sekali sekala .. apa salahnya..

Hope they are satisfied, comfortable with our hospitality!!
