UAE - 4th Destination : Abu Dhabi

Destinasi seterusnya ke Abu Dhabi. Dari Al-Ain ke Abu Dhabi mengambil masa lebih kurang 1 jam lebih. Abu Dhabi ni capital of UAE. Tak pernah sambil sini pun. Last time, just transit jer. Kalau naik Etihad for sure akan transit kat Abu Dhabi ni.

Tempat yg dikunjungi adalah Masjid Sheikh Zayed. This mosque is the largest mosque in UAE. Lagi excited sangat nak pegi bila terbaca, masjid ni adalah masjid ke-8 terbesar di dunia. Haaa... jgn tak tahu?

Sampai sana dah lewat jgk, petang then rupanya some parts of the mosque blom lagi siap. Ntah2 blom lagi dirasmikan. Mak oiii, cam biasa laa kan manusia punyer laa ramai kat masjid ni. Bukan dtg nak sembahyang tp datang nak visit.

Yang paling bestnya, even kita berpakaian sopan pun utk pompuan, perlu pakai abaya yang diaorg sediakan. Ni dah kira bagus ni utk sessi "omanwood" . berabaya di dalam masjid. Suker okey :)) Tak kira laa muslim ker non-muslim ker semua kena pakai abaya utk pompuan. Untuk lelaki kalau dedah aurat tu diaorg bagi jubah putih.

So, pakai laa I bergaya dgn jubah. Mula2 tu cam hesitate jgk nak pakai sbb kan sure berbau2 kan sb ramai dah org duk pakai. Rupanya2 berbau wangi.. seriously. Diaorg put aside bila orang dah guna. Baguskan, menjaga kebersihan. Masjid kita kat Msia cam tu jgk ker?

Cantik kan? Banyak kubah2 tu... tapi x ingat laa nak bila masa kat sana sb duk bz nak berposing kan..

UAE - 2nd Destination

Bersua kembali kita dengan citer ttg jejln ke UAE yang belum sempat abis ari tu. 2nd destination was Al-Ain Wildlife Park & Resort. Ye.. ye.. pegi Zoo bersama2 dgn kanak2 comel. Suker okey :))

Last time pegi Zoo kat Msia tak tahu masa umur brapa, it was may be 20 years back or more. Lama kan?

I paid 15 Dirham for the entry. Murah jer kan?

We went there on Friday, time Friday's prayer tp mak oiii kete punyerr laa byk. Tak ku sangka, jauh sangat park kete and the picture above the entrance of the zoo.

Punyerr laaa kedekut diorg ni. Diaorg bg satu tiket jer utk 7 org. Bleh? In a way is good for them. Penjimatan kertas right?

Bleh tahan jgk la berjln. Terasa turun 2 kg selepas non-stop walking for almost 3-4 hours.

Pegi nyerr ker Zoo, tp yang menarik perhatiannya pokok. Salah ker? Nak buat cam mana nak. Its 2 in 1. This cactus is so big. Never seen this before.

Yang bestnya park kat sini adalah bleh picnic. Ramai orang berpicnic. Siap bwk makanan, tikar, krusi. Kita kat Msia mana laa ader masa nak buat semua ni kan?

As told before, its 2 in 1. Not only animals catch my attention but these sort of plants too. Cantik sgt lalang2 ni. Rasa nak jer tanam kat rumah.

Ni lagi lalang.. suker.. with the tekstur of the colours. I just love it.

See, siap dgn krusi lagi tu berpicnic. Its normal here tp I jer yg slalu excited tgk benda2 cam ni. Kat Oman pun sama. Suker sgt diaorg ni berpicnic.

UAE - Al-Ain

Last semester was a long semester with so many holidays in between. Bila dah long semester, meaning that semester break hanya laa seminggu. A week? Apakah ini?? Of course la utk students 2 weeks holidays but for the lecturers its only a week or even 3..4 days jer. So x baik sbb x bleh balik Msia utk cuti2 Malaysia.

As mentioned before, lepas process memarking final exam papers yg beratus2 pelajar bleh buat para lecturer hilang kawalan mental terutamanya saya ini. Imagine, you been given only 72 hours to mark 200++ students? And all essays questions. Cam mano? Dgn handwriting nyerr yg susah nak paham, dgn spelling errors nyerr. Tu masa nak marking.. then bila nak posting mark plak, ader plak yg nak kena adjust2. Bleh...

Well, itu citer basi... x mau citer dah. Skrg ni nak citer jalan2 ke UAE. On wednesday, after settle semua marking2 posting mark, terus buat plan nak redah ke UAE.

This time pegi dgn Msian family kat Sohar, suker pegi dgn diaorg ni. Dgn 3 orang anak2 mereka yg riang ria.

Redah, redah jugak but the before pegi kena jgk buat plan kan. So a nite before bertolak, tido sampai lewat malam, bangun sampai awal pagi sbb duk google map utk pegi UAE. Siap print maps and places must visit lagi. Baik punyer planning.

Our journey was Al Ain- Abu Dhabi- Sharjah-Dubai. Dulu dah pegi dah UAE but only Dubai but this time melangkah kaki jauh skit.

Kat sini, semua turun utk eye test. Bleh? Kalau pegi Dubai ari tu x de plak check2 mata. Masa kat office utk check mata, x de orang pun not even the officer in-charge. Bleh cam tu? Lawak laa diaorg ni. Duk tunggu, jalan2 about 10 minutes, baru laa officer dia dtg. Check2 semua.. teruskan perjalanan. From Sohar to Al-Ain took us about 2 hours.

First stop was at Jabel Hafeet. The view from Jabel. So cantik :))

Dipanggil Hafeet, most probably sbb ader 5 Jabel like our feet. Ye ker? May be laa kot.

On our way there, got 2 hotels and one private house. Yang gamba ni adalah private property. Dashyat.. Rumah siapakah ini. Rasanya blom siap lagi.

Kat gunung ni bleh ader manusi2 yg conteng2 semua ni. Sabor jer lah kan? Yang cantik dah jadi x brapa cantik!!

Ramai ni manusia2 kat sini. Maklum la weekend kan?

Yang paling best in every stop, ader toilet ni. Tapi mak oiii, bau nyerr sangat laa tidak tahan!! Yelah, kan ramai manusia yg dtg melawat.

Jeng.. jeng.. jeng. Tahu tak kat atas Jabel ni jumpa apa. Batu crystal. Seriously. So mintak tuk nenek, ambik buat balik skit.

Ni laa lanun2 yang curik bau crystal kat Jabel Hafeet. Larik... sorokkan terus dlm beg. Tapi 2..3 orang philipine tahu dan nampak kami ambik, terus diaorg pun carik2 jugak.

Lagi menarik kat sini, satu bas datang visit then duk tepi bas berkelah makan ramai2. Bleh? Kat sini dah biasa dah berpicnic2 ditepi kete.

National Day Holiday - Trip to Dubai

Kemana kah I menghilang... 2..3 menjak ni? You know that Im bz right? Tapi dalam kebzian I, Im still find time to do something or to go somewhere during holiday.

Last week on tuesday was National Day holiday. Kat sini pelik skit laa.. The holiday was supposed to be a week before but the govt. here postponed the holiday in the following week. The reason is the people here can get the holiday 4 days including the weekend. Isnt it good?

On Monday, after finished the class I went back home to take my things and started the journey to Sohar. Drove all the way to Muscat for 2 hours and from Muscat to Sohar another 2 1/2 hours. The journey was tiring coz of the long traffic jam on the way to Sohar. My friend and I reached Sohar at nearly 8pm. We overnight at our Msian family there. Thanks to Mr Z and Kak Su for the hospitality. When we reached Sohar, we went to the rented car company to rent a car for tomorrow. We decided to rent a 7 seated four wheel drive coz including Kak Su's family, my friend and I are total 7 of us. The rent is pretty cheap here and it cost us RO25 per day and including RO17 for the insurance ( coz we wanted to drive outside Oman).

The next day, early in the morning we started our journey to Dubai. Guess who is driving? Hahahha.. You wouldnt believed me right? Its me bebeh!! I know.. Mr Z x have a license and I volunteer to drive.Like my sibling said " kak kan iron lady.. sure bleh nyerr". Hahhahah... laughing to the floor people please...

The journey was smooth. First check point, stamp the passport and for Msian, we dont have to pay any thing. We just need to pay for the entry RO3 and thats all. The other people need to pay 50 Dirham per entry I guess. Banyak tu.. like RM50 sekali masuk!! Tapi kitaorg rakyat Malaysia ni.. x perlu bayar pun. Syok kan?? Its quiet a long queue due to the holiday in Oman so many Omani took opportunity to visit their neighbor country... x kurang laa Msians yang menyibuk ambik kesempatan utk memenuhi lagi Dubai.

The journey was great coz of Kak Su's family was with us. She got 3 kids and they were so lovely. What more with my MP3's songs make the long journey such a nice journey. I did enjoy driving especially for long journey.

Our motto of the journey was " redah jerr labu" and our objective was to get there. Amat laa kesiutan sekali dgn ader motto tu. Korang pegi jalan jauh2 ader motto? x de kan? Aaaa... tu laa nak cakap ni... So dengan motto tu Alhamdulillah after 2 hours journey sampai laa kitaorg kat Dubai.

That was the car that we rented. Toyota Fortuner.. the one that I drove. X caya yer korang? Mentang2 laa I ni x berapa cukup ketinggian.. ingat x bleh drive ker this car? X baik okey memandang rendah pada ketinggian I.. TSK

Redah punya redah.. Our first stop was at Dubai Mall. They just open!! We were here almost 3 hours including window shopping, prayer and had our lunch. Look at the above picture, that is the largest ice rink in Dubai. Dashyat... with a large TV screen and you will enjoying the music while you are skating. How nice is that right? How I wish I can skate....

Jalan punya jalan.. survey punya survey several restaurant, we decided to have our lunch at Nandos. Mahal sangat2 makanan kat sini. Imagine laa Fried Rice costs 50 Dirham = RM50. Nandos yang I makan ni cost me 34 Dirham tau. Amat laa mahal skali. Lagi laa I duk compare dgn Omani Rial, pening dibuatnya. The nice thing abt Nandos here was I was given a circle board after make an order. Then the circle board will blink and ring when our food is ready. Cool right??

My favorite shop in Dubai Mall. Pelik tau kedai ni.. jual2 souvenir. Lampu Aladdin tu dr yg kecik hingga laa sebesar2 alam tau ader jual kat sini. I mampu ambik gamba jerr .. mahal tu.. X berani nak masuk pun...

This is the largest indoor Gold Souq. Dashyat sungguh laa diaorg ni kan? Look at the view.. so spacious and gorgeous right?? Not so many people around... and there is Gold Souq (indoor) too. x penah dibuat orang kan?

Ni plak Aquarium Tunnel. Good thing abt this is x yah bayar pun dpt gak tgk tau. Masyaallah... keindahan hidupan laut. Terpegun kat situ sorang2.. yang menengok nyer ramai.. yang terpegun laa I sorang. If you pay 50 Dirham, you will see more.. Will come back later then to experience underwater world.

Then late evening, we moved on to find hotel around the city. We stop at more than 5 hotels and all were fully booked. Tanya punya tanya rupanya ader conferences around. No wonder laa semua hotel full. Jalan punya jalan carik hotel tanpa putus asa, perut dah rasa kelaparan.. so jumpa laa Restaurant Pakistan ni. We ate Roti and Chicken Masala. It was not bad memandangkan kelaparan kan? At last, we found the hotel " Serai II Hotel". I guess its budget hotel (one star jer kot) but the price is so expensive. It costs us 350 Dirham after discount. Tu pun I share dgn my friend. Hotel tu tengah2 dunia tau. I mean tengah2 souq and at Naif Road. Ramai laa orang2 dgn Africa around. Macam kat Africa plak rasanya.... even kat situ pun banyak African Restaurant. We dont have any choice not to stay at that hotel memandang dah x de hotel lain kan. So ambik jugak laa for one nite.

The view of the Dubai from the seaside.. we took a boat several times to go to here and there. We parked our car at the other side of the sea and our hotel was on another side. Pelik dan lucu laa. Park kete tu, siap letak byk2 terus duit parking. The next day, Kak Su and her husband pepagi buta lagi menyeberang lautan tu semata2 pegi tambah duit parking. Kesian diaorg. Thanks Mr Z and Kak Su for your kindness.

Textile souq.. this place make me crazy. Rasa semuanya nak beli. Banyak jenis2 kain kat sini. Cantik2 tau.. murah2 plak tu. Tapi diaorg ni jual wholesale jer. x jual meter2.. I nak buat apa byk2 kan? This trip I didnt get anything for me.. but Dubai, wait for me for the next trip.. for sure I will get something for myself. Tunggu laa.. Nak save duit dulu then baru bleh shopping. Anyone wanna join me? No wonder laa kan, artis2 msia suka sangat dtg dubai carik kain2 nak kawin.. banyk kain2 yg mengerlip2 kat sini. Nice and cheap...

I had good time with this trip to Dubai. I spend 2 days 1 nite there and for sure will come back again very soon. Jalan ke Dubai dah x jadi masalah... cuma fulusnya kena save lagi. Jom, sesapa yang berminat... jom2 kita pegi skali for the next trip.
