1st Day In Oman

Arrived at the Seeb International Airport at nearly nearly 6+ and there was an Omanian guy holding a piece of paper written of my name waiting for me. He is a Ministry of Education in Oman and he was the person in charge of getting through the immigration. Alhamdulillah, everything went well at the aiport with our 7 bags ;not even one the custom checked. Luckily he bought another friend to pick us up at the airport coz with one car definitely cant fit all the bags that we have. So with 2 cars, they sent us to the Al Falaj Hotel, Muscat.

My room no. 224

Al-Falaj Hotel's key

The Ministry already booked the room for me and for my parent but we decided not to waste our money and wanted to stay together. Thank God we met great people, the receptionists at the hotel agreed that we are going to stay together but we still need to pay extra charges for the extra people. Well, at least we do not have to pay OMR30 which equivalent more or less RM300. We only pay OMR19.620. Not so bad. Earlier in the morning, we had our breakfast which were croissants, bread, butter, jam, sausage, red bean and fried egg. The breakfast just ok-ok .. Boleh laa untuk alas perut..

These are our breakfast at Al-Falaj Hotel, Muscat

As earlier as 7.30 am , one guy from the ministry came to pick me up to go to the ministry office to sign documents and agreements. All the sudden one Indian guy in a formal wear in earlier 40's was with me. Rupa-rupanya, dia pun one of the lecturer. Baru jer sampai fr. India. So apa lagi berkenalan laaa.. DR.. apa ntah..so laa action.. menyampah!!... and he will be located in Ibri.We went to the Ministry of Education together and of course not to forget my parents too. Went there and filled several forms and met some officers. They were very kind and nice people. What caught my attention was the form that was given to me... I need to fill 2 copies of the form..same form and it was so details.. your father's name till your grandfather's name and all the siblings birthday...puhh.. really details.

Right after filling all the forms needed, the driver took us to Sur.. the place I been located to teach. Initially i asked for Nizwa, which is nearer to Muscat..but I heard Sur is nicer and by the beach so its totally fine for me to be located in Sur. Biasa laa Pak Arab ni..cakap lain..janji lain.

The journey to Sur took us nearly 3 hours an half and the road was terribly nightmare!! Really.. Mr Ahmed, the college driver took us by 4 wheel drive and really make me vomiting all the way to Sur. Sampai2 jerr , driver tu bawak gi otel kat Sur called Sur Beach Hotel.. Been there for 3 days and bfast kat situ samer jer ari2.. So laa muak. But then I do not have any choices.. hentam jerr laaa..
